Board Meeting Minutes

1. The meeting was called to order at 7:35 pm. The minutes from the April 23 meeting were approved.
2. Treasurer's Report: Printed on the back of the minutes. Nine past due notices will be mailed May 22 to residents who are delinquent on their home owners dues.
3. Homeowner comments:

• Concerns about stray dog roaming the area, barking, and defecating in a yard. A letter to the suspected dog owner will be sent by the board president

• Concerns about stray dogs and speeding in the subdivision by non-MCS residents. A letter will be sent to Village Homes and Lake Reynovia neighborhood associations from the board president

• The board agreed to extend the offer of providing homeowners a $10 rebate for the purchase of a shade tree, at least 6 feet tall and planted in the front yard. The rebate will be offered until January 2003. Contact Treasurer Daniel Greene for your rebate. Remember to call Miss Utility to prevent digging into a utility line.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
1. Architectural Review- No report.

Application forms can be picked up in the box in front of 1556 Stoney Creek Dr. Please submit ARC applications at least 30 days before you plan to do the requested work on your property. Turn in completed applications to Don Berard at 452 Hidden Ridge Rd.

2.Grounds and Maintenance

• The presence of dog waste in common areas and on private lots continues to be a major concern. Upgraded low profile, aluminum, anchored trash receptacles (with bags) along with signage reminding owners to clean up after their pet was approved. Two DOGIPOT Pet Stations will be purchased and installed in common areas. One will be located near the intersection of Whispering Oaks and Arrow Wood and the other along the 1700 block of Stoney Creek Drive. A trash service will be contracted for regular pick up of waste.

• The Mill Creek South entry sign was knocked off its mount. The board approved the repair. The photoelectric cell on the sign's lights will also be repaired so they only come on during darkness.

• All Seasons will be doing a lawn mowing and repair of the sink hole in the Shady Grove ravine area on May 22. 3.Pond - Aquatic Services will be applying the first treatment of Rodeo for the eradication of floating hearts on May 22.

OLD BUSINESS
1. Solicitors in subdivision - The board is considering posting a sign at the entrance to MCS discouraging solicitors.
2. Online Newsletter - The board established a goal of having the MCS web site up and running no later than August 1. David Cooper will investigate activating the site on avenue.org.

3. Emergency Action Resolution - The board approved the concept of resolutions authorizing emergency expenditures and routine grounds expenditures from the Association budget. The final, written resolution will be reviewed and signed at the next meeting.

NEW BUSINESS
1.Community Survey - Accompanying this month's minutes is a Mill Creek South survey that you are encouraged to complete. Please take a few moments to review the letter and complete the survey. 2. Next Meeting - Tuesday, June 25, 7:30 pm at Pete Caramanis's house, 333 Star Crest Road. All homeowners are invited to attend.

Tips and Reminders:

• Please observe 25 mph speed limit. There are many small children and babies in strollers.

• Mailboxes and posts should be painted with Duron's "Shore Beige". Mailbox primer and paint are available without cost from Sally Mank.

• Clear drainage ditches of standing water to avoid mosquito breeding grounds.

• Call Joe Gottlieb about dead trees in common areas that could fall and damage structures or block streets or driveways.
