Board Meeting Minutes
1. The meeting was called to order at 7:25 pm. The minutes from the Feb. 25 meeting were approved.
Treasurer's Report:
No checks were written in February.
$3,588 of the February dues checks were deposited in March. Also, 7 dues statements for $546 and 2 disclosure packets for $50 have been received and deposited in March.
Past due notices have been delivered.
2002 taxes have been filed and paid.
3. Homeowner Comments:
A homeowner reported that hedge clippers had been stolen from their porch. The Board had received no reports of the clippers being found. The same person also is concerned about constant and disruptive dog barking from next door. The Board recommends that neighbors first try to resolve the issue among themselves. If that fails, the Board will assist in resolving the issue including the mailing of a letter to the offending party.
A resident complained about the removal of their "For Sale" signs from the right-of-way area outside the subdivision on Avon Street Extd. The Board has not been removing these signs. The Association has no jurisdiction over that particular area.
A homeowner inquired about the possibility of membership with Lake Reynovia for the use of their facilities. The Board has learned that Lake Reynovia has no provisions for allowing residents outside their subdivision to purchase membership for their pool or other facilities.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
1. Architectural Review (Reported by Sally Mank via email).
The ARC has received and recently approved two applications. One application was for an enclosed sun room on the rear of a dwelling. The second was to change exterior stain color to another approved Craig Builders color. The ARC is reviewing a draft revision of the Architectural Review Guidelines and has asked Steve Nelson, an architect and former committee member for assistance in reviewing the draft and revising the application.
2.Grounds and Maintenance
The contract for All Seasons to continue common area maintenance was reviewed and approved.
A proposal from Chandler Tree Care to fell a total of 14 trees throughout the common area that represent a danger to property was approved.
A bid from Scott Trice to prepare and paint the entrance sign for MCS was approved.
VDOT will be notified via a letter from the Board about our concerns of sand accumulation along the subdivision roads as well as winter damage and deterioration of the asphalt due to the harsh winter weather.
3. Social
The Pond Trail committee is growing. A work party is being organized to install the new Pond trail signs as well as do new trail blazing and maintenance.
The annual MCS yard sale has been planned for Saturday, May 3. More information will be forthcoming.

The Board of Directors page has been updated to reflect the results of the most recent election of board members and officer positions.
OLD BUSINESS
The Board approved a draft of an amendment to our bylaws concerning how to fill a vacancy in the Board of Directors. One Board vacancy is expected soon with the departure of Pete Caramanis. Anyone interested in being appointed to fill the remainder of Pete's term (one year) please contact the Board.
NEW BUSINESS
This year's Directors and Officers Insurance premium will be $949.
The annual election of officers to the Board was held. The following officers were unanimously approved.
President - Christina Cavaliere
Vice President - Don Lepsch
Treasurer - Daniel Greene
Secretary (Interim) - Don Lepsch.
Grounds and Maintenance will continue to be chaired by Joe Gottlieb, and Social and Web Site issues will be chaired by David Cooper.
