Tuesday December 2, 2003 — Board Meeting Minutes

 

Called to order at 7:44 p.m. The minutes from the October 28th meeting were approved.

Committee Reports:

1.         Architectural Review

            •           Application for a screen porch at 1657 Stoney Creek was approved.

            •           The board approved a new mailbox. It is the Gentry Plastic Combo by Solar Group (http://www.thesolargroup.com/plasticcombos.html), model number Gc1M in the color mocha. It can be special ordered at Lowes for $71.85. There maybe a price break if an order is made for 12 or mere. For more information or if you are interested in getting a group order together contact Don Lepsch (295-3648).

            •           The ARC Committee proposed that they make a presentation on the ARC Guidelines at the next MCS Annual Meeting. The board agreed.

2.         Grounds and Maintenance:

            •           Bids were received for the job of lowering the pond level and the cleaning out of the riser. The board awarded the job to All Seasons ( maximum $2050).

            •           The board also approved of All Seasons clearing of the pond overflow channel and replacing the stones that were washed away by Hurricane Isabel ($1600). In addition, they will be adding 20 tons of gravel to the fire road to make a 3ff. wide path ($1420).

            •           VDOT has spot patched several potholes in the neighborhood.

            •           The committee is still gathering a few remaining requests from homeowners to remove certain common area trees that may have fallen onto there respective lots. The committee is waiting so to a get the best quote on getting all the work done by one company.

2.         Social

            •           Still trying to get homeowners information to develop a “Neighborhood Guide” Please Email Farrell at theivyinn@yahoo.com with what you would like to include, I.e., Name, Address, Email, Phone, Children and Ages, Notable Interest Or fill out the form and mail back or drop off at 325 Star Crest Road.

New Business:

•           If anyone is having their heat pump replaced, please contact Don Lepsch (295-3648) he is interested in getting some spare parts

•           If you are interested in being on the Architectural Review Committee, please contact Sally Mank (963-7962).

•           Home Owner Disclosure packets may be obtained from Don Lepsch 295-3648. Mailbox paint maybe obtained from Sally Mank

Next Meeting: Tuesday January 6. 2004 7:30 p.m. at Don and Priscilla Lepsch’s home at 432 Hidden Ridge Road. All are welcome.
