Board voted to approve the minutes from previous meeting

 

Treasurer Report - Farrell:  Court Judgment was rendered on July 20 for back dues for a homeowner.  $204 paid in    full $78/04          $78/05   +  $48 court costs.  All Homeowners dues have been paid for 2005.

 

ARC Report - Sally: High Fence at 447 Hidden Ridge that was not approved by the ARC.  Renter refused to remove and    the owner was sent certified mail and has not responded.  ARC chair suggested a fine and Joe Gottlieb suggested the fine be the cost of removing the fence.  Joe will meet with Sally (ARC) and then handle it through email.  The board will work on a standard letter  for future homeowner/renters.   1626 Shady Grove Ct 18' x 15' addition to create a family room Approved Sept 14 ARC meeting.  412 Hidden Ridge Road expansion of existing deck. Approved.  1508 Stoney Creek Dr. Install 2 windows, Approved.   332 Starcrest Rd  Stone wall Éthe ARC asked the owner to modify the unapproved wall and the owner complied.

 

Boundary & Roads - Karla:  Tom Lincoln approx $3000 for boundary survey. Should we spend $3000 and get a volunteer to mark the boundary every 25ft with ½ inch steel rod (surveyors put in 6 inch nail)?  Board agreed to consider a survey and asked Karla to get bids and will handle by email.  Joe Gottlieb will contact VDOT for second sweep for loose gravel.

 

Social -Jenny: It was decided to have one yard sale per year in the spring and have a Halloween carnival on Oct 29 3PM – 4:30PM (board will cover costs) on Arrow Wood near the benchÉEfforts still under way for a neighborhood directory.

 

Web site Chair Dave: Joe Cantu to review website and discuss with Dave.

 

Volunteers needed:

A New Board member is needed to fill empty position (Don Lepsch slot). Craig Lindqvist or Scott Walk?

More ARC membersÉhopefully someone is willing to be groomed as the new Chair (Sally deserves a break)

Grounds Chair: Grass É ground maintenance (Maybe Megan or Nini or Scott or Craig will take this job?)

Complaint Chair receives all complaints (who in their right mind would volunteer for this?)

Homeowners Manual Chair (Maybe Nini or Craig or Megan will take this job)


An MCS resident and her dogs were attacked by a cat while walking along Stoney Creek (Arrow Wood)

 

Board voted to pay Dixon Trash Removal to empty the Dogipots each week.  The Board wishes to thank Graham Bond for the tree pruning on Arrow Wood.  People like Graham make our community a nice place to live.

 

The board decided to continue to let the bank between 1713 and 1693 Stoney Creek grow to prevent erosion.

 

Trash report - Pat: Stay with DixonÉthen we only have trash-cans out one day per week.  Pat Alt looked into trash removal.  WMI  will d  wr3o it for $50/month if one annual bill to MCS.  The board said it was too difficult to collect from home owners.  Dixon will charge $60/month with newspaper recycling.  This is a Mill Creek Special discount.  Special thanks to Pat for her work on this issue.

 

Board voted to thank Don Lepsch with $100 Snows Gift Certificate, Farrell to handle this.

 

Joe Cantu: Reported going back to only wood mailboxes such that all mail boxes are the same.  Don can make for $165.  Board will discuss issue in greater detail at next meeting.
